Job summary

Ephemeris Net seeks an experienced electrical engineer to design high‑speed digital and analog electronics for space networking. You will help create the electronics inside the Ephemeris Network Box, optical transceivers, and terminal control circuits for space environments.

Responsibilities include routing up to 9.6 Tbps, integrating FPGA/processor interfaces, and collaborating with firmware. Hybrid in Oakland/Southern California, with strong emphasis on hardware quality and space qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of electronics design with high-speed circuits.
• Experience with PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, or similar).
• Track record delivering hardware and understanding of signal integrity.
• Experience with lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design high-speed digital systems with interfaces up to 9.6 Tbps for space networking.
• Develop optical transceivers and motor control electronics for space terminals.
• Define electrical interfaces between network box, optical terminals, and spacecraft bus.
• Collaborate with firmware; support hardware-in-the-loop testing and integration.
• Ensure EMI/EMC, thermal, and space-environment qualification considerations.
