Job summary
Amadeus Search in New York City seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead the electronics design and architecture of high-volume consumer hardware. You will own end-to-end hardware development from prototypes to mass production, collaborating across firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and overseas teams.
The role requires 8+ years in high-volume consumer electronics, strong RF and low-power expertise, and experience moving designs to production.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in high-volume consumer electronics design.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
- Deep expertise in low-power system design and RF.
- PCB design and schematic capture (Altium).
- Proven ability to move hardware from prototype to production.
- Willingness to travel to China for collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own electronics design from concept through mass production.
- Drive system architecture and PCB layout guidance.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and international teams.
- Develop power management for ultra-low-power applications.
- Support overseas contract manufacturers and JDM partners.
- Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, testing, and qualification.
