Job summary

Devon Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Midland, TX team. You'll contribute to distribution projects, predict energy needs, and coordinate with utilities to secure power supply while ensuring code compliance and high power quality.

Responsibilities include developing detailed electrical drawings, planning substations, and providing engineering support for existing facilities with a focus on safety and reliability. 3+ years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, power infrastructure.
• Familiarity with API 500, NEC codes, and electrical standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on distribution projects with design packages for overhead/underground work.
• Predict electricity consumption for geographic regions and plan resources.
• Engage with utility companies to secure power supply for loads.
• Interpret power system models to forecast requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Produce electrical drawings and assist in substation development and management.
