Job summary

Stryker Instruments in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to design electrical components and subsystems for medical devices. You will apply advanced circuit design and testing methods, and collaborate across Product Development, Production, and Contract Manufacturers to drive robust solutions.

The role requires 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with expertise in schematic/PCB layout and datasheet analysis.

Qualifications

4+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
Experience with schematic and PCB layout using Allegro, OrCAD, Gerbers.
Ability to review datasheets for critical design specifications and edit technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Independently design and develop electrical components and sub-systems for medical devices.
Develop and apply advanced circuit and electrical system test methods.
Conduct or design advanced prototyping and testing.
Conduct advanced problem solving, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against component and sub-system requirements.
Conduct and design research and studies to support advanced product design.
Analyze and correct complex product design issues, using independent judgment.
Independently balance design tradeoffs while designing a component of the system.
Handle multiple project streams in a fast-paced and collaborative setting.
Work with Product Development, Production, and Contract Manufacturers on a regular basis
