Intepros is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead electrical subsystems for a next‑generation surgical robotics platform in Florida. This hands‑on role covers PCBA design, system integration, testing, and debugging from concept through commercialization.
You’ll collaborate with Software, Systems, Mechanical, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to develop reliable electrical solutions, perform EMC/EMI work, and ensure design transfer and risk management for medical device programs.
We are seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead the development of electrical subsystems for a next-generation surgical robotic platform. This hands‑on role includes PCBA design, system integration, testing, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with Software, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to develop reliable electrical solutions from concept through commercialization.
You’ll lead the electrical design and development of a major robotic subsystem, translating product and system needs into electrical requirements, interfaces, and designs. This includes developing complex PCBAs — schematic design, component selection, and rigid, flex, and rigid‑flex board designs — and performing PCB layout reviews, board bring‑up, characterization, testing, and debugging using Altium.
You’ll integrate electrical hardware with embedded software, mechanical components, and the broader robotic system, and lead technical trade‑off decisions involving performance, safety, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and risk. You’ll also develop verification and EMC test strategies, supporting testing at external laboratories or other Stryker facilities, troubleshoot complex electrical and multidisciplinary system issues, and support design documentation, risk management, design transfer, and product commercialization.
Advanced PCBA design experience, including schematic design, component selection, layout review, board bring‑up, and debugging. Proficiency with Altium and experience with rigid, flex, or rigid‑flex board designs. Experience integrating electrical hardware with software, mechanical systems, and system‑level requirements. Knowledge of EMC/EMI design, testing, troubleshooting, and design for manufacturability.
