Job summary

SSI People, Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Staff Electrical Designer to support planning, design development, and production work across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will contribute to electrical design deliverables and collaborate across disciplines to maintain quality, accuracy, and schedule adherence.

The role requires a bachelor or higher in drafting technology with 7+ years of experience (or associate with 8+ years, or high school with 9+ years).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field with 7+ years experience, or an Associate degree with 8+ years experience, or High School with 9+ years progressive detailing and design experience.
Advanced understanding of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel for development of design deliverables.
Advanced ability to use both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical design deliverables, including schematics, grid plan layouts, power systems, lighting systems, protection and controls, and site and facility design.
Prepare drawings for production work, including design layouts, calculations, redlines, mark-ups, and revisions for ongoing projects.
Review reports, drawings, tests, and design documents to support project planning, quality assurance, and compliance with codes and specifications.
Coordinate clearly with project managers, engineers, and designers to resolve drawing or design issues and support project objectives.
