General Motors is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead DevOps and platform engineering for infotainment systems. You will own architecture, CI/CD, and observability across VCU/CCU platforms, partnering with release, quality, and infra teams to deliver reliable software at scale.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and advance build and release automation, with a strong focus on engineering productivity and end-to-end reliability.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in software engineering, DevOps, build or platform engineering roles at staff level.
• Experience leading large initiatives across multiple teams from design to production rollout.
• Strong experience with scalable CI/CD systems and developer platforms.
• Hands-on with observability tooling and production-grade reliability.

Responsabilidades

• Define technical strategy and architecture for DevOps and build platforms for infotainment systems.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for embedded Linux builds (Yocto).
• Improve build performance with distributed builds and caching strategies.
• Automate release processes including versioning and quality gates.
• Build self-service tools and dashboards to accelerate engineering delivery.
• Enhance developer workflows with GitHub automation and PR validation.
• Establish end-to-end observability, metrics, logs, and alerting.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural direction across teams.
