Job summary

Newmark is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to drive end-to-end cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability across its platform footprint. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and champion AI-driven automation for reliability and velocity.

Responsibilities include architecture for cross-team initiatives, scalable pipelines, and security/compliance practices. Strong leadership and hands-on expertise are essential. Dallas preferred, with Chicago or NYC alternatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure/software engineering, with demonstrated cloud infra and CI/CD leadership.
• Expert-level proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep or similar) and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and Kubernetes at scale.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native patterns.
• Proven track record leading large-scale technical initiatives across teams.
• Security/compliance practices—Zero Trust, identity management, audit/change controls.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical architecture for cross-team cloud platforms, CI/CD, and observability.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native infrastructure and deployment pipelines across the platform footprint.
• Architect and integrate agentic AI workflows into DevOps and platform operations for reliability and efficiency.
• Set engineering standards for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, security, and observability across the org.
• Lead design reviews and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams.
• Partner with product and security leaders to translate strategy into scalable infrastructure roadmaps.
