Job summary

Terawatt Infrastructure seeks a Staff DevOps Engineer to drive our cloud platform powering large-scale EV charging networks in North America. You will set technical direction, own reliability, and mentor engineers across the team.

You will lead Terraform-based cloud evolution, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and security controls while advancing observability with OpenTelemetry and Grafana. This role blends software, hardware, data, and real-time operations at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building high-availability production systems.
• Experience with AWS, EKS, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Experience leading SRE or DevOps initiatives.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Strong cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for DevOps and platform engineering, mentor engineers.
• Lead planning for team goals aligned with roadmap.
• Architect cloud infrastructure using Terraform for scalability.
• Maintain deployment patterns and Helm charts.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Advance security across the stack and SOC 2 controls.
• Extend security to AI and agentic systems.
• Enhance observability with OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
• Develop tools for local and remote container development.
• Support ML and internal AI workloads infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Data team on Databricks and Kafka.
• Contribute to a web-based depot operations platform using NodeJS.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call, incident response.
