Job summary

Vyne is a healthcare technology company enabling dental practices and payers to streamline revenue cycle processes across the United States. The Staff DevOps Engineer will influence the strategic direction of the DevOps team, designing high-availability solutions and mentoring engineers.

The role is fully remote with preference for candidates in Utah, Indiana, Georgia, or Tennessee. You will work with cross-functional teams to automate deployments, build CI/CD pipelines, and drive modernization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8+ years in a related DevOps/engineering role.
• Advanced knowledge of AI-enhanced DevOps tools and practices.

Responsibilities

• Automate the build, deployment, and management of applications and infrastructure.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery.
• Mentor junior DevOps Engineers and contribute to architectural designs.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and security of systems and services.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience

Master level knowledge of AI-enhanced devops tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, GitLab Duo, New Relic AI)

General Summary

A technical leader, influencing the strategic direction of the DevOps team. Designs and implements innovative solutions for complex application landscapes, focusing on high availability and disaster recovery. Collaborates with cross-functional leaders, driving organizational change, and participating in hiring efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Automate the build, deployment, and management of applications and infrastructure
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and infrastructure needs
• Design and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades and improvements to the IT infrastructure
• Document system designs, processes, and best practices
• Ensure the reliability and performance of systems and services.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps Engineers in best practices
• Create high level architectural designs and proof of concept implementations
• Maintain compliance with the knowledge requirements outlined on the department intranet site
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate devops activities (e.g., deployments, code generation, testing, documentation)

Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support business and organizational objectives.
