Job summary

Complete Care at Dawnview is seeking a Staff Development RN to lead education and the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program. The role emphasizes coordinating orientation, ongoing training, and regulatory compliance to ensure high-quality resident care.

The position requires an active WV RN license with long-term care experience. Infection prevention training is a plus, and the role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekday shifts and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Infection Preventionist training or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new hire orientation, ongoing education, annual competencies, and mandatory in-service training.
• Mentor and support nursing staff through education, coaching, and clinical guidance; track certifications and competency completion.
• Lead the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program per CDC, CMS, OSHA and state guidelines.
• Conduct infection surveillance, investigate outbreaks, monitor trends and implement prevention strategies.
• Educate staff on infection prevention practices, PPE, hand hygiene and isolation precautions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and maintain infection control records and reports.
• Participate in survey preparation and serve as resource for infection prevention and staff education.

Staff Development RN- This leadership role is responsible for educating and developing nursing staff while leading the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program to ensure the highest standards of resident care and regulatory compliance by:

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Long-term care experience required.
• Previous Staff Development experience/training preferred.
• Infection Preventionist training or certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and teaching skills.
• Knowledge of CMS regulations, CDC guidelines, and infection prevention standards.

License:

• Must have an active RN Registered Nurse license in WV.
