Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah, KY is seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator, RN to lead nursing education, competency development, and ongoing training for our clinical team.

The role focuses on ensuring nursing assistants and clinical staff have the knowledge and support to deliver exceptional resident care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and facility standards.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in Kentucky.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in staff development, nursing education, or related clinical leadership.
  • Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of nursing assistant education, competency requirements, infection prevention, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Strong teaching, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate education and compliance records.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing/walking and assisting with lifting, up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing education, orientation, in-services, and competency programs.
  • Develop an annual education plan and maintain a monthly training calendar based on staff, resident, and regulatory needs.
  • Provide classroom and clinical instruction to nursing assistants and other clinical staff as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate training, attendance, certification, competency, and continuing education records.
  • Monitor nursing assistant performance and provide education or retraining when opportunities are identified.
  • Ensure the nursing assistant education program remains compliant with applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Provide ongoing education related to infection prevention, resident rights, safety, clinical standards, and facility policies.
  • Partner with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to identify training needs and support staff development.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement initiatives and survey readiness activities.
  • Promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.

Job Overview

Providence Pointe Healthcare is seeking an experienced and engaging Staff Development Coordinator, RN to lead nursing education, competency development, and ongoing training for our clinical team.
