Job summary

Vineyards at Fowler in Fowler, California, is seeking a dedicated infection prevention and staff development leader to oversee education and regulatory compliance in a full-time capacity. You will coordinate mandatory training, certify nursing staff, and partner with the Interdisciplinary Team to maintain quality care.

The role requires current RN or LPN/LVN licensure in California, strong communication and organizational skills, plus prior infection control and LTC education experience.

Qualifications

• Skilled communicator, director and motivator.
• Ability to organize and prioritize many tasks.
• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN/LVN license (CA).
• Infection control experience preferred.
• Experience in staff education/training preferred.
• 1+ years in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational opportunities to staff in a supportive environment for safe and effective care.
• Coordinate learning experiences that support quality care per facility standards.
• Ensure mandatory regulatory education is available and track attendance.
• Coordinate Nursing Assistant Certification when required by state long-term care rules.
• Coordinate facility orientation for licensed and non-licensed staff; engage preceptors/mentors.
• Lead infection prevention and control program with Interdisciplinary Team; evaluate and direct activities.
• Monitor nursing staff performance to ensure compliant quality care.
• Maintain health files for staff to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Obtain consent and administer vaccines to staff/residents as needed.
• Monitor licensure and CPR certification for licensed staff.
