Job summary

Mammotome, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Staff Development Engineer to lead complex medical device development and manufacturing initiatives from concept through sustaining in Cincinnati, OH on‑site.

You will solve advanced technical challenges, guide cross‑functional teams, and implement quality and regulatory practices across the product lifecycle, while mentoring engineers and shaping engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• 10+ years of engineering experience with 6+ years in product development/manufacturing.
• Experience in regulated or highly technical industries with quality/regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in design, development, validation, and lifecycle activities in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead device development and strategic engineering initiatives with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
• Lead design for manufacturing analyses and integrate findings into concepts.
• Qualify components and processes using validation methodologies and support design reviews.
• Lead product/process improvements, develop engineering standards, and solve complex problems.
• Influence product strategy and roadmaps while mentoring engineers across the organization.
• Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally with overnight stays as needed.
