Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist RN - Regency at Fremont

Position Overview: Are you a nurse passionate about education and infection control? This role involves acting as the facility's educator, conducting orientation and in-service programs for nursing staff, and designing systems to prevent and control infections based on surveillance reports.

Location: Regency at Fremont

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver educational programs across all shifts and departments.
  • Participate in staff evaluations through attendance and performance observations.
  • Provide facility orientation and ongoing education for new and existing staff.
  • Ensure CNA/STNA meet annual in-service requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance and report concerns.
  • Monitor healthcare-associated infections and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review and update infection prevention policies.
  • Conduct outbreak investigations and report communicable diseases as required.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting (preferred).
  • Current RN licensure in Michigan.
  • CPR certification.
