Job summary

Atoms is hiring a foundational Developer Experience Engineer to optimize large-scale build workflows across C++, Python, Go, and embedded firmware. You will reduce build friction, design secure OTA updates for edge vehicles, and empower robotics, ML, and software teams with fast, reliable tooling.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and repository architecture while aligning with hardware-in-the-loop validation and observability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Developer Experience/Build Infra for large teams.
• Proficient in Python, C++, Go or similar; deep build-system knowledge.
• Experience scaling CI/CD, monorepos, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with embedded firmware or containerized IoT OS (Balena/Yocto).
• Understanding OTA deployment for edge hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own CI/CD pipelines for multi-language repos (C++, Python, firmware).
• Cut build times; ensure reproducible builds and dependency management.
• Automate building/testing embedded firmware and vehicle OS (Balena).
• Design OTA deployment with staged rollouts, redundancy, rollback.
• Decide repo architecture, artifact versioning, and dependency tracking.
