Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Design Verification Test Engineer to own the DVT process for next-generation electronic warfare products, defining verification plans and testability requirements early in the design cycle.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 12+ years in test/verification/product engineering with hardware moved to production.
  • Ownership of test strategy and test plan via a VCRM or equivalent artifact.
  • Hands-on RF and microwave measurement (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, power meters).
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams to successful completion of projects.
  • Experience leading EVT/DVT/NPI builds on production-intent hardware, including failure triage and closure of coverage gaps.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril’s Electronic Warfare (EW) team is seeking an experienced systems engineer to support next-generation electronic warfare platforms transition from development to production. As a Design Verification Test Engineer, you’ll own the DVT process, working closely with your development engineering and test engineering counterparts to establish limits, define and execute verification plans for new EW products, and prove product reliability, ensuring a seamless new product introduction to production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Own the DVT process end to end, authoring the test strategy and verification plans for new EW products, and establishing requirements for testability early in the design cycle.
  • Drive development and test automation engineering counterparts to execute on verification activities and design updates to improve manufacturability.
  • Build and maintain product and subassembly Verification Cross-Reference Matrices, establishing measurement methods, and pass/fail criteria.
  • Analyze DVT data and requirements baseline to establish production test limits, accounting for test station measurement capabilities.
  • Lead EVT/DVT/NPI builds on production-intent stations, triage failures to root cause, and close test escapes by incrementally improving test coverage.
  • Set design verification standards across EW programs and mentor test engineers on measurement rigor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience in test, verification, or product engineering, including ownership of design verification for a hardware product taken to production.
  • Demonstrated ownership of test strategy and test plan documentation, via a VCRM or equivalent coverage artifact.
  • Hands-on RF and microwave measurement experience, including spectrum and signal analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, power meters.
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams to successful completion of projects.
  • Experience leading EVT/DVT/NPI builds on production-intent hardware, including failure triage and closure of coverage gaps found during build.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Environmental and reliability verification experience — HALT/HASS, ORT, ESS profile development, thermal and vibration qualification, EMI/EMC.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

US Salary Range

$191,000 - $253,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
