Job summary

Snowflake seeks a Staff Design Engineer to lead the premium UI experience in the Snowflake Design System. You will embed with feature teams, set front-end architecture, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver polished, scalable interfaces.

You bring 10+ years designing high-quality UIs and strong web skills (React, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS), plus accessibility and AI design-system experience. Snowflake offers a competitive compensation range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience designing and building high-quality UIs.
Strong collaborative and communication skills for cross-functional teams.
Experience with structuring design systems for AI.
Strong accessibility experience.
Solid understanding of visual and interaction design fundamentals.

Own the technical roadmap for a system or component pillar.

Support the design and development of Snowflake's design system, promoting quality and craft across all surfaces.
Build design components and foundations, collaborating with cross-functional teams—including product managers, engineers, and other designers.
Employ a keen eye for detail to ensure a seamless and visually compelling experience.
Stay abreast of emerging design trends, technologies, and methodologies to bring fresh ideas and approaches to the team.
