Job summary

Commure is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to own the data warehouse platform end-to-end, from CDC pipelines to analytics tooling. You will design, build, and operate every layer of the stack, including data lake, query layer, and transformation layer, with the core stack featuring Debezium, StarRocks, and dbt.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience across the modern data stack: CDC, streaming, data lake formats, MPP/lakehouse engines, and dbt.
• Fluent in SQL, schema design, query optimization, and cost/latency trade-offs on large datasets.
• Experience running production data infrastructure (orchestration, observability, on‑call, data quality, incident response).

Responsibilities

• Own the data warehouse platform end-to-end: CDC pipelines, data lake, query layer, transformation layer, and analytics tooling.
• Design and operate CDC pipelines with Debezium and streaming backbones.
• Architect the data lake on object storage with an open table format for batch and streaming workloads.
• Run and scale StarRocks as the query and serving layer, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Build the transformation layer with dbt: modeling standards, tests, documentation, semantic layer.
