Job summary

Socure is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join the Watchlist Data Science team. You will tackle the hardest problems in entity matching, NLP, and information extraction, scaling real-time matching and building production-ready models for AML screening.

This senior individual contributor role requires 7+ years in data science, strong Python and ML library skills, experience with multilingual NLP, and the ability to translate research into production systems across our global customer base in

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of data science or ML with NLP, entity resolution, or information extraction.
• Experience in AML, sanctions screening, or financial crime detection is preferred.
• Hands-on experience building/deploying NLP pipelines for entity extraction and NER at production scale.
• Familiarity with multilingual NLP and non-Latin scripts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop NLP systems for entity matching and information extraction across multilingual data sources.
• Improve data quality and enrichment pipelines for Watchlist data.
• Design scalable match engines and risk scoring combining multiple signals.
• Build analytics and evaluation frameworks to tune screening thresholds.
