Qualifications

• 7+ years of data science, ML, analytics in high-velocity environments.
• Experience building end-to-end data-driven products for business problems.
• Knowledge of product data science: adoption, churn, cohorts, segmentation, funnel analysis.
• Collaborative with stakeholders across Product, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Finance.
• Strong coding in Scala or Python; testing, reviews, deployment concepts.
• Proficient in data analysis/visualization using R and Python.
• Experience with distributed data processing systems like Spark and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Shape the direction of key data science areas such as segmentation and forecasting.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales and Customer Success to analyze usage patterns.
• Gather requirements, define OKRs and milestones, communicate progress to non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior data scientists with project planning and code/document reviews.
• Represent the data science discipline across the organization to drive a data-driven culture.
• Build self-serving internal data products to simplify data use for teams.
• Represent Databricks at academic and industrial conferences and events.
