Job summary

Facet is hiring a Staff Data Scientist focused on reporting and predictive modeling. You will own the data science workflow end-to-end, from framing problems to deployment, partnering with engineering and product to productionize your work.

The role emphasizes building diagnositic and predictive models, leveraging Python, SQL, and modern dashboards. Remote-first in the U.S. with strong compensation and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a data science or machine learning role.
• Experience with at least one dashboarding tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
• Proficiency with Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of ML algorithms and statistical techniques for predictive modeling.

Responsibilities

• Exposing insights: turn data into information with analysis reports and diagnostic models.
• Evaluate & produce quality: ensure code is clean, unbiased, and maintainable.
• Data engineering: gather, clean, preprocess data; build end-to-end pipelines; deploy on cloud.
• Predictive modeling: develop, validate, and deploy models (regression, classification, clustering, time series).
• Generative modeling: create abstractions and features using open source/paid tools.
• Continuous improvement: stay updated on DS/ML trends and share knowledge.
