Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to own pricing experimentation and strategy for our Consumer & Business products. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and Design to turn advanced analytics into decisions that impact the company's bottom line.

You will design and analyze pricing tests, build models to identify optimal strategies, and communicate findings to executives and cross-functional leaders. A PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data science with pricing experimentation and causal inference.
• 5+ years leading pricing or experimentation workstreams.
• Proficient in SQL and Python or R for modeling and analysis.
• Ability to scope and deliver complex analytics across teams and present to executives.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pricing experimentation from design through analysis and recommendation.
• Build and refine pricing models and evaluation frameworks for optimal pricing strategies.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to develop pricing vision, roadmap, and priorities.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and data models powering pricing analytics.
• Synthesize findings and present recommendations to senior leadership.
