Biohub is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Data team, focusing on the strategy, sourcing, and implementation of data for AI research and development. You will connect public data resources with Biohub's experimental platforms to accelerate biological AI progress.

You will collaborate with experimental and computational scientists, data scientists and AI researchers to define model inputs, representations, and training architectures, enabling robust, learnable data pipelines that advance

Competenze

• PhD required or equivalent research track in computational biology or related field.
• Experience with data representations for biological data and AI-ready datasets.
• Familiarity with biological foundation models (ESM, scGPT, or similar).
• Strong programming skills in Python and scientific computing libraries.
• Ability to design robust data systems at scale for biology AI research.

Mansioni

• Design data representations and tokenization strategies for imaging data and other modalities.
• Coordinate cross-team efforts to translate biological structure into learnable representations.
• Define data acquisition priorities, quality criteria, and external datasets evaluation.
• Develop approaches to unify heterogeneous data modalities for training frameworks.
• Evaluate impact of representations on model performance and iterate for improvement.
