Job summary

Taskrabbit is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to partner with Product and Operations to deliver data-driven insights and scalable solutions that accelerate growth while reducing marketplace losses.

You will own advanced experimentation, causal inference, and build data agents; require 7+ years in data science, strong SQL, Python, dbt, and Git; hybrid role with 2 in-office days in SF or NYC.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or Ph.D. in Statistics, Econometrics, CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, OR related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience in data science.
• Strong experience with advanced experimentation and statistical modeling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking in commerce/risk domains.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; familiar with data pipelines (dbt) and Git.
• Experience in productionizing ML models and ML Ops is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define high-impact analytical problems with stakeholders and solve them using advanced analytical approaches.
• Lead data science initiatives (experimentation system, data agents, eventing systems).
• Collaborate with Product and Commercial Operations to measure success and drive growth.
• Promote a data-driven culture with best practices in analysis and interpretation.
