Pinterest is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join the Finance & Business Operations team in a hybrid capacity. The role spans data science, applied AI, and product engineering, focusing on forecasting, analytics, and internal tool-building for the CFO organization.

You will own end-to-end forecasting work, partner with Finance, BizOps, and Monetization, and translate AI capabilities into practical tools used by finance teams daily. This position is US-based with flexible in-office requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong data science and forecasting background with hands-on time-series knowledge.
• Proven ability to translate business questions into meaningful metrics and diagnostics.
• Experience building dashboards and self-serve analytics (e.g., Superset, Tableau, Looker).
• Hands-on experience applying modern AI tooling to real workflows and driving adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own forecasting tooling end to end from data to UI.
• Build user-facing features and dashboards; enable adoption through analytics and UX polish.
• Drive AI adoption across Finance & BizOps with concrete business cases and enablement materials.
• Stay ahead of AI capability curve and translate research into actionable roadmap for CFO org.
• Provide executive-level communication on AI strategy and roadmap.
