Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Data Scientist for the Sentinel program, located in Roy, Utah or Manhattan Beach, CA. The role focuses on leading data engineering efforts, building scalable data pipelines, and delivering analytics to business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 12 years professional experience with Bachelors in Science; 10 years with Masters; 8 years with PhD or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
• Must be a US citizen.
• Experience using programming languages and tools for data science and data engineering; e.g., Python, SQL, Neo4j, Tableau, AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production-quality data ETL/ELT pipelines from various sources
• Oversee long-range goals and near-term objectives of the Division Analytics team
• Provide mentorship and leadership to guide junior data engineers and conduct code reviews
• Champion engineering best practices across data engineering projects
