Job summary

Bitsight, a leader in cyber risk management, is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to research, develop, and deploy predictive models for cybersecurity risk. You will refine Security Ratings, integrate new data sources, and translate complex analytics into scalable production systems.

Qualifications

• MS degree required; PhD preferred in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 1 year equivalent industry experience at staff level.
• Experience modeling risk for rare events is desired.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, validate, and implement statistical and machine learning methodologies for cybersecurity risk assessment and prediction.
• Maintain and enhance Security Ratings and Risk Vector scoring methods for accuracy and explainability.
• Explore new data sources to improve models and develop new capabilities.
• Develop scalable, well-documented code for data science models and pipelines.
• Monitor model performance and communicate findings clearly.
