Where you come in:

  1. You will be part of the team that advances continuous health sensing design via data-driven insights.
  2. You will develop analytical techniques and models to facilitate our scientific and business objectives.
  3. You will work as a member of a R&D technology development team and collaborate with other departments including firmware/hardware, sensor/membrane, and mechanical engineering to help facilitate improved designs via data-driven insights.
  4. You will be expected to be an expert in working with large-scale structured and unstructured data sets.
  5. Your contributions will aid in Dexcom’s mission to ‘empower people to take control of diabetes’.

What makes you successful:

  1. You will lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of projects from data gathering to data processing, modeling, and providing recommendations to functional areas across the organization.
  2. You will act as a technical leader on the team – identify and disseminate best practices across the team in terms of tools, systems, and processes.
  3. You will create and monitor KPIs and highlight/present any emerging/actionable insights and trends to relevant stakeholders.
  4. You will develop dashboards and perform ad-hoc analyses.
  5. You will collaborate cross-functionality to capture design details relevant to data interpretation and analysis.
  6. You will apply data mining and machine learning techniques to extract valuable information and patterns from sensor data.
  7. You will use techniques from signal processing, time series, statistical analysis and machine learning to develop classification systems.
  8. Ideally you will have experience building data analytics and data science projects.
  9. Deep understanding of broad set of statistical and machine learning methods to solve problems and optimize metrics preferred.
  10. Advanced ability to perform data segmentation and manipulation directly using SQL and Python or R (BigQuery a plus) preferred.
  11. Prefer candidates with expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and latest methodologies in this rapidly changing field. You will leverage these tools to identify patterns and generate predictive models of sensor performance in commercial users.
  12. Preferred experience with data visualization skills and experience with BI tools (Google Data Studio a plus).

Experience and Education
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Masters degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.
Exempt Salary Details:

The annual base salary range for this role is $128,600 to 214,400. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
