CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Engineer specializing in Data Platforms and Stream Processing to advance our multi-regional datastore strategy and data flow models. You will join a team of 6-8 engineers in a fast, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include driving technical decisions, designing event-driven architectures, building scalable data delivery, and mentoring teammates while maintaining security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of data models, consistency, and concurrency.
• Experience with distributed SQL/datastores.
• Experience with stream processing (NATS or Kafka).
• Kubernetes experience and interest in operators.
• Proficiency in Go or Python.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical decisions, accelerate delivery, and mentor engineers.
• Champion event-driven architecture adoption and build consensus.
• Identify and develop data applications aligned with business needs.
• Design and implement the platform to deliver data to teams with managed solutions.
• Develop a scalable stream processing architecture for reliability.
• Improve performance, security, reliability, and scale; participate in on-call rotation.
• Establish data access guidelines and storage guard rails.
• Ensure compliance with data protection standards.
