Job summary

Extreme Networks is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Applications Engineer to lead Performance Monitoring for our Enterprise Platform ONE (EP1). This role focuses on building and scaling the data pipeline that ingests, enriches, and stores platform telemetry at high volume.

You will own data ingestion and storage architecture, drive performance improvements, ensure security, and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. Hybrid onsite in San Jose.

Qualifications

• Experience building real-time data pipelines and telemetry systems.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and code reviews.
• Ability to design scalable data storage across multiple stores.

Responsibilities

• Design real-time data ingestion pipelines using Kafka and Numaflow.
• Architect enrichment pipelines and storage strategies for ClickHouse, TimescaleDB, Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to improve performance and reliability.
• Ensure documentation and runbooks are maintained.
