Job summary

Unity is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Feature Platform to design and operate scalable data pipelines powering ads optimization and ML infrastructure. You will own offline data flows, build batch and streaming systems, and contribute to the Feature Store with Go-based services and online serving integration.

Ideal candidates have deep distributed systems experience, Python/Java/SQL ETL skills, and familiarity with Spark or Flink, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on ETL/ELT pipelines with Python, Java, or SQL.
• Familiarity with Spark or Flink for batch and streaming processing.
• Understanding offline data systems integrated with online serving layers.
• Cloud-native environments and containerized systems, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and feature datasets for ads optimization and ML.
• Own end-to-end offline data flows from ingestion to feature-ready datasets.
• Develop large-scale batch and streaming systems with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Contribute to the Feature Store platform and high-throughput online serving layer.
• Translate product and monetization logic into durable analytics systems.
