Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software or data engineering experience.
• Designing and delivering large, cross-team data systems from ambiguous requirements.
• Expert-level Python and SQL with ETL/ELT patterns for complex transformations.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, dbt, Tableau, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and design of ingestion pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and data delivery systems.
• Define and evolve frameworks, conventions, and reference patterns for pipelines and DAGs.
• Lead diagnosis of data integrity, performance, and reliability issues and implement fixes.
• Set reliability standards (SLOs, alerting, on-call health) and reduce toil.
• Lead data security and governance strategy (PII masking, RBAC, lineage).
• Design reverse ETL and data delivery integrations with clear SLAs and failure handling.
• Drive platform decisions on Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, cost optimization.
• Review design and code with an emphasis on downstream impact and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with BI, Data Science, Product, and leadership to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring.
