Job summary

Dragos is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering Community. You will design data contracts, model complex sources for analytics, and build a transformative data layer that powers customer-focused products.

You’ll collaborate with product teams, contribute to observability tooling, and advance data governance across cloud and on-premises ecosystems, including Kubernetes and Docker deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience.
• Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with dimensional modeling and incremental data models.
• Implementing data observability, robust data contracts, and scalable data structures.
• Software development in Go, JVM, Python, or Node.js with cloud-native architectures.
• Experience handling medium-to-large datasets, esp. cybersecurity/industrial data.
• Knowledge integrating cloud and on-premises tech in industrial environments with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with message queuing and stream processing in deployable infrastructure.
• Familiarity with data-heavy domains like cybersecurity threat intelligence or ICS/OT.

Responsibilities

• Create sustainable data contracts that address data governance requirements.
• Model complex data sources into performant analytics.
• Create and manage a data transformation layer that can become a core part of our analytic process.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to deliver data solutions that enhance customer-facing products.
• Establish and contribute to shared tooling for observability, lineage tracking, and configuration validation.
