Job summary

Dragos, Inc. is seeking a data engineer to join the Data Engineering Community. You will design data pipelines, model complex data sources, and build a robust data transformation layer to support analytics across products.

The role collaborates with product engineering to deliver data solutions, contribute to observability tooling, and improve data lineage and configuration validation within a remote-first, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Dimensional modeling and incremental data models.
• Data observability frameworks, data contracts, and optimized data structures.
• Go, JVM-family, Python, or Node.js with cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with medium-to-large scale datasets, especially cybersecurity or industrial data.
• Cloud/on-premise integrations in industrial environments; deployments on Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with message queuing and stream processing.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity threat detections, threat intelligence, or IC/OT operations.

Responsibilities

• Create sustainable data contracts that address data governance requirements.
• Model complex data sources into performant analytics.
• Create and manage a data transformation layer that can become a core part of our analytic process.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to deliver data solutions that enhance customer-facing products.
• Establish and contribute to shared tooling for observability, lineage tracking, and configuration validation.
