Job summary

Dragos is seeking a data engineer to help shape scalable data contracts and analytics for critical cybersecurity products. You will model complex data sources, build a robust transformation layer, and collaborate with product engineering teams across a remote-first, globally distributed company.

The role emphasizes data observability, performance-optimized structures, and cloud-native deployments on Kubernetes and Docker, with experience in cybersecurity data being a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience.
• Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with dimensional modeling and incremental data models.
• Experience implementing data observability frameworks and robust data contracts.
• Languages: Go, JVM, Python or Node.js with cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with medium-to-large datasets; cybersecurity/industrial data preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud & on-premises integration in industrial environments; deployments on Kubernetes & Docker.
• Experience with message queuing and stream processing.

Responsibilities

• Create sustainable data contracts addressing data governance needs.
• Model complex data sources into performant analytics.
• Develop a data transformation layer as a core analytics component.
• Collaborate with product engineering to deliver data solutions for customers.
• Establish and contribute to tooling for observability, lineage tracking, and configuration validation.
