Job summary

Breeze Airways seeks a Staff Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering team in Utah. You will lead large-scale data platform initiatives, building and scaling real-time pipelines from 30+ sources to support analytics and business functions.

You'll champion robust SDLC practices, ensure data quality with automated tests, and mentor junior engineers while driving innovative data solutions across Breeze. Strong leadership and 15+ years of data engineering experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15+ years relevant experience, including technical lead for Data Engineering teams.
• Authorization to work in the US.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead data platform development for analytics data and real-time pipelines across 30+ sources.
• Design, build, and scale resilient ETL/ELT pipelines with robust data quality and retry semantics.
• Uphold SDLC practices: version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and advocate for well-designed data solutions.
