Job summary

Intuit's QuickBooks Capital and Lending Platform seeks a Staff Software Engineer in Data to build scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, Spark, SQL, and Databricks on AWS.

You will spend most of your time hands-on, designing, coding, testing, and supporting production systems, while collaborating across product, engineering, and business teams. A BS/MS in CS or equivalent is required, with 7+ years in data engineering and big data tech.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years building data engineering pipelines with Python, PySpark, Spark, SQL, AWS, Kafka.
• Strong experience with Databricks and Big Data technologies.
• Experience with SDLC and large-scale enterprise data systems.
• Ability to understand and modify large codebases.

Responsibilities

• Size work of medium to large complexity and manage timelines.
• Design/Develop software using data engineering technologies.
• Spend 90% hands-on designing, coding, testing and supporting production systems.
• Provide production support and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with product, engineering teams and business units to drive results.
• Work with Agile, SCRUM, or XP methodologies.
