Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer at our Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA. You will act as the Cyber SME, ensuring RMF compliance and guiding cyber security activities across complex software and hardware systems.

A Top Secret clearance is required, with opportunities to leverage COTS/GOTS/open source technologies and contribute to national security initiatives. The role involves research, design, and implementation planning, plus security assessments aligned to

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in STEM with 12+ years of engineering experience, or 10+ years with a Masters, or 8+ years with a PhD in STEM.
Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at time of application.
Experience executing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, managing cyber artifacts, and maintaining continuous monitoring for mid-sized enterprise environments.
DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Act as the Cyber Subject Matter Expert and ensure compliance within the RMF.
Identify and evaluate technologies from industry, academia, and government to solve Cyberspace Operations deficiencies.
Provide systems engineering recommendations and assist with planning and execution for complex software/hardware systems.
Develop and document technical standard operating processes and procedures.
Participate in team reviews of requirements, design and implementation plans.
