Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Senior Contracts Manager to manage contractual obligations, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance across programs at our Melbourne, FL location. This role requires strong negotiation, data rights expertise, and a Secret clearance, with on-site work and potential relocation support.

You will coordinate with internal teams, prepare proposals, and maintain effective communications with customers while overseeing contract changes and deliverables in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 13+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 11+ years.
  • Strong negotiation and oral/written communication skills.
  • Experience with technical data packages and data rights.
  • Active Secret security clearance with latest investigation in last 5 years.

This full‑time, on‑site position is based at in Melbourne, FL.


What You’ll Get to Do

Responsibilities include the following:



  • Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues;

  • Monitor contract and associated program to ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood.

  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment per company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Work to develop solutions to routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.

  • Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification, and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

  • Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.

  • Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submitting invoices, proposals, and data calls.

  • Ensure contract requirements are fulfilled, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree and 13+ years of relevant directly related experience, or Master's degree and 11+ years of directly relevant experience.

  • Strong technical acumen in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Adobe.

  • In-depth knowledge of FAR/DFARS and demonstrated experience with different contract types.

  • Must have capable & effective proposal development skills, excellent negotiation skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must have experience in technical data packages and data rights.

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance, with the most recent periodic investigation completed in the last 5 years.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Active Top Secret security clearance

  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry

  • Experience in Larger Complex Proposals

  • Extensive DoD Contracting experience with USG and Prime customers

  • Experience working restricted programs, proven ability to work in closed program areas.

Primary Level Salary Range

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,400.00 - $189,600.00
