Insight Global in Austin, TX is seeking a Staff Construction Project Manager to drive delivery of semiconductor construction projects from planning through turnover. Qualifications

  • .o Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, construction management or equivalent.
  • .o 10+ years of construction project management in large manufacturing or industrial environments with Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing.
  • .o Strong understanding of MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning for Semiconductor factories.
  • .o Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, MS Excel) and design tools like AutoCAD.
  • .o CCM, OSHA 30, NFPA70E certifications are preferred.

  • Accountable for managing project buy-out processes, including bid packages, RFPs, contracts and Work Orders.
  • Direct MEP long-lead equipment procurement for semiconductor construction projects to meet specs, on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with project superintendents to set objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Review plans with design teams to resolve clashes and determine best path forward.
  • Prepare and maintain contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Oversee commissioning and testing of electrical systems, outages, handover, and training materials.

Job Description

As a Staff Construction Project Manager, you will be a driving force behind the successful delivery of Semiconductor construction projects owing every phase from initial planning through final completion and turnover. You will forge strong partnerships with Design teams, procurement specialists, subcontractors, commissioning, and key stakeholders, serving as the central point of coordination that keeps every moving part aligned.


In this role, your technical expertise will be put to work solving complex construction challenges, while your organizational acumen ensures that timelines are met and budgets are protected without sacrificing quality. You will lead with clarity and purpose translating project goals into actionable plans, anticipating risks before they escape, and making decisive calls that keep the team moving forward.

What You’ll Do


  • Accountable for managing project buy-out processes, which entails creating bid packages, collaborating with procurement to issue Request for Proposals (RFPs), drafting contracts and Scopes of Work, and generating Work Orders.

  • Work together with procurement department in directing the MEP long lead equipment for Semiconductors construction projects, ensuring that they are ordered in accordance with specifications, on time, and within budget.

  • Coordinate with the project superintendents to establish project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.

  • Collaborate with the design team, architects, and engineers to review plans, specifications, and drawings. Also, expedite solutions to design clashes while coordinating with design team for best path forward.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.

  • Guarantee that all MEP installations and systems comply with or surpass quality standards, safety regulations, and industry's best practices. Supervise inspections, testing, and the commissioning of electrical systems. Additionally, manage the commissioning processes, which include system testing, coordinating outages, troubleshooting, and the final handover of the system to the client. Ensure comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, training materials, and operation manuals, are delivered.

  • Track site execution and inspections to ensure work is performed according to safety guidelines and quality standards.

What You’ll Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction management or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience managing construction projects in large manufacturing or industrial environments specifically with Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing.

  • Strong understanding of MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning for Semiconductor factories, including water treatment, chemical distribution, power distribution, backup power systems, substations, etc.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS tools, Asana, MS Project, P6) and other analytical/design tools such as MS Excel and AutoCAD.

  • CCM, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E certifications are preferred.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of overcoming challenges on complex projects.
