Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL seeks a Component Engineer to own the end-to-end lifecycle of electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and electro-optical components on Missiles & Fire Control programs.

The role covers selection, qualification, testing, documentation, supplier coordination, and ensuring traceability across the product lifecycle with strong emphasis on configuration control and compliant engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience with MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-38534, MIL-PRF-55342 is a plus.
• Familiarity with high-reliability military component standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select, evaluate, qualify, test, and perform failure analysis on electrical and electromechanical components.
• Coordinate project documentation to meet customer contracts and Lockheed Martin requirements.
• Prepare and maintain Component Source Control Drawings (SCDs) and baseline drawings.
• Evaluate suppliers and recommend qualified vendors for EEEE parts.
• Lead or support PMPCB discussions and NSARs for component approvals.
• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams and subcontractors.
