Job summary

Redox, Inc. is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to own cloud-native and application security across the Redox platform. This hands-on IC role will harden environments, review code, and translate control gaps into engineering actions with production impact.

You will partner with Engineering to embed security into the SDLC by default, defining standards for container security, Kubernetes hardening, and architecture design. Remote-first in the US.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security engineering with staff-level impact and leadership of strategic initiatives.
• Deep technical proficiency in Kubernetes security, including network policy and container hardening.
• Expertise in threat modeling for Node.js, TypeScript, Python or Go applications.
• Experience securing SDLC and CI/CD safeguards with GitHub Actions; artifact integrity.
• Experience hardening Infrastructure-as-Code and managing enterprise secrets.

Responsibilities

• Own Cloud Security Posture Management including Kubernetes and container security strategies.
• Manage vulnerability lifecycles with production exposure as a priority.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to institutionalize secure SDLC and CI/CD safeguards.
• Translate HITRUST and SOC 2 into actionable technical configurations.
• Evaluate and secure infrastructure-as-code across environments.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem analyses.
• Mentor engineers and elevate security standards in design reviews.
• Oversee bug bounty triage and engagement with researchers.
