Job summary

Primer seeks a Staff Security Engineer to lead security across cloud infrastructure and applications. You will own DAST/SAST, incident response, vulnerability management, and zero-trust initiatives, partnering with IT and DevOps to embed security into SDLC.

You will manage and improve cloud security tooling, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and mentor security practitioners while staying ahead of threats and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Security or Cloud Operations
• Experience with AWS and cloud security tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience integrating security into DevOps/SDLC/DevSecOps

Responsibilities

• Analyze the organization's security posture and identify improvements
• Implement and manage security controls for cloud infrastructure, platforms, and applications
• Conduct security assessments and remediate vulnerabilities
• Manage and optimize cloud-based security tools (EDR, SIEM)
• Respond to security alerts and perform root cause analysis
• Lead incident response from detection to resolution
• Collaborate with IT/DevOps to integrate zero trust across the stack
• Automate security processes to drive continuous compliance
• Stay current with threats and security best practices in cloud environments
