P2P in New York is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Cloud Infrastructure to lead the cloud platform strategy across Azure and AWS. You will define key governance policies, engineering standards, and mentor engineers while ensuring security within a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, and excellent communication skills. The position offers an annual salary between $196,000 and $245,000, alongside competitive benefits including bonuses and equity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Python, Go, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
• Proven experience in cloud security and governance in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading FinOps practices.
• Track record of defining and accomplishing multi-quarter infrastructure roadmaps.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cloud infrastructure platform strategy across engineering teams.
• Serve as the principal infrastructure authority on platform architecture.
• Define reference architectures and reusable infrastructure models.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership for early infrastructure capabilities.
• Ensure cloud governance policies and standards are enforced.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and guide the hiring process.
