Job summary
Capital One is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Asset Management area within the Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) organization. You will define, architect, and drive best practices for Asset Management, Security, and Compliance while mentoring teams and shaping scalable, cloud-native platforms.
You will lead modernization efforts, collaborate with senior leaders to set platform strategy, and balance deep technical work with coaching across engineering and product
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data architecture
Responsibilities
- Articulate and evangelize a bold technical vision for your domain
- Decompose complex problems into practical, operational solutions
- Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation
- Serve as an expert on non-functional characteristics like performance, scalability, and operability
- Lead cross-divisional projects and promote best practices across teams
