Job summary

robotsandpencils seeks a Staff Cloud Architect to lead the technical strategy and end-to-end architecture of complex cloud, data, and AI initiatives. You will guide major engagements and help teams build scalable, secure platforms.

This senior, delivery-embedded role oversees architecture across cloud, data, and AI workloads, with a focus on migration, modernization, governance, and robust IaC/DevOps practices. Contract role for six months.

Qualifications

• Translate business goals into architectural decisions for cloud/data/AI.
• Communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Establish architecture standards, docs, and engineering best practices.
• Lead and mentor engineers across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy and architecture for cloud, data, and AI engagements.
• Design scalable cloud-native/multi-cloud/hybrid solutions on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.
• Architect data warehouses, lakes, and batch/streaming pipelines.
• Design ML platforms, model-serving, MLOps, feature stores, and LLM-based apps.
• Set standards for IaC, CI/CD, DevOps, reliability, security, governance, and compliance.
• Lead migrations and modernization, serving as escalation point for complex challenges.
