Job summary

Motion Recruitment is hiring a Cloud Architect for a 12-month contract focused on an enterprise transformation. You will design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions across Azure (preferred), AWS, and GCP while ensuring security and governance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead migrations, mentor junior staff, and stay ahead of emerging technologies to meet organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in IT architecture, with a focus on cloud computing.
• Proven expertise in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Azure preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, virtualization, and storage concepts in cloud environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
• Project management experience and familiarity with Agile, DevOps, or other modern IT delivery methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of IT Security Controls (NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOC-2 or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Lead cloud migration projects and ensure governance and cost efficiency.
• Mentor junior staff and document solutions for reuse across the organization.
