Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks a Staff Registered Engineer - Civil - Water in the Arlington VA area with hybrid work flexibility to lead design and delivery of water and wastewater projects, coordinating with clients and sub-consultants across the project lifecycle.

You will develop reports, studies, detailed designs and specifications, assist with schedules and budgets, and contribute to proposals and business development while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects.
• Supports where necessary to obtain PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set by the project managers.
• Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
• Interface directly with the client or sub-consultants under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
• Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients.
• Provides leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
