Job summary

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly is seeking a Roadway Civil Engineer III in our St. Louis office to support transportation projects that improve safety, mobility, and connectivity throughout the communities we serve.

This role offers expanded technical responsibility, exposure to diverse transportation projects, and continued professional growth within our Surface Transportation practice. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 2–6 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–6 years of experience in civil/transportation engineering.
• Working knowledge of roadway and transportation engineering principles.
• Experience supporting roadway design projects.
• Knowledge of roadway design software and engineering analysis tools.
• Strong MS Office skills; strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support roadway design and transportation projects.
• Prepare roadway plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Perform engineering analyses and technical calculations.
• Develop technical reports and project deliverables.
• Utilize roadway design and engineering software.
• Participate in client meetings and project coordination.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and project teams.
• Support field reviews, data collection, and site observations.
• Contribute to project schedules and budgets.
• Support transportation and multimodal initiatives.
• Apply engineering standards and project requirements.
• Expand knowledge in roadway design and transportation engineering.
